  • Must have held a Learner Permit for 180 days
  • Permit has not expired
  • No traffic convictions for 180 days immediately preceding the drive test
  • Complete the Oklahoma Work Zone Safe course
  • Student must have a copy of their Drivers Education certificate of completion or Affidavit of Driver Training (for parent-taught) available to show the instructor before the test begins

Over 18 years old

  • If you have a permit, you must have held it for at least 30 days before applying for an unrestricted license and it must not have not expired in the past 3 years
  • If your permit has been expired over 3 years or you have never possessed a learner permit, you must have completed the Written Test at a Service Oklahoma Licensing Office

If you are under 18 years of age, you must have held your permit for 180 days. If you are over 18, you do not need a permit.

 

​If you are under 16.5 then you must have COMPLETED a driver's education course and be able to bring the completion certificate to the test. This can be completed through either a commercial or public school, or through a state approved parent-taught driver safety program. If you are over 16.5, then you do not need a driver's education course.
